Sally Wenzel was a four-time All-WIAC softball selection (2000, 2001, 2002, 2003) at UWL while being named the WIAC Pitcher of the Year in 2003. She is one of three players in school history to earn the WIAC Pitcher of the Year Award. Wenzel was also a three-time WIAC Pitcher of the Week choice
Named to the 2002 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) Third Team All-Region 2003 NFCA Second Team All-Region, Wenzel holds school records for career wins (49), innings (527.0) and strikeouts (432). She is third in career appearances (87), sixth in saves (4) and earned run average (1.65).
She is the only player in UWL history with two no-hitters, coming versus UW-Superior on April 3, 2000 and St. Olaf College (Minn.) on April 1, 2001.
Wenzel earned her bachelor's degree (2005) in early childhood-middle childhood education.
