Richard "Dick" Trickel ran on cross country from 1958-60 and track from 1959-62. He lettered in both sports every year. After earning a physical education degree in 1962, Trickel served in the U.S. Air Force until 1968. He was a pilot for the Northwest Airlines from 1968 until retiring in 2000. He took his love for running to the Boston Marathon where at the age of 42, he ran the race in two hours and 35 minutes.
