Ole Jorgensen lettered in La Crosse football from 1922-24, and basketball and track from 1923-25. In 1925, he captained the championship basketball team, took five firsts in a dual track meet with Winona, and set a new La Crosse record in the high jump. Following graduation, he went to Neenah High School, where he coached basketball and track and taught for 43 years. In 1934, he was appointed athletic director and supervisor of physical education. His basketball teams won 509 games and took numerous titles, including 12 conference championships six district, eight regional, two sectional and one state championship. In 1968, the new gym at Neenah was dedicated to him and in 1979, he was inducted to the Wisconsin High School Coaches Basketball Hall of Fame.
