Luanne Bruss Murray was named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Time Track & Field Team after earning eight National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-America honors. She captured the NCAA Division III outdoor title in the 400-meter hurdles in 1993 after finishing third in 1992. Bruss Murray picked up three outdoor All-America awards in the 4x400-meter relay as the Eagles finished fifth in 1991 and second in 1992 and 1993. She also earned three indoor NCAA III All-America honors in the 4x400-meter relay, including being a member of the national champion relay in 1993. UWL placed fifth in 1989 and sixth in 1991.
On the conference side, Bruss Murray was selected the WIAC Indoor Track & Field Co-Track Performer of the Meet in 1992 and the WIAC Outdoor Track & Field Co-Track Performer of the Meet in 1993. During the indoor track & field league championships, Bruss Murray won the 55-meter and 200-meter hurdles in 1992 as well as being a member of UWL's first-place 4x400-meter relay. She also won the 200-meter hurdles crown in 1990 and 1993, one of two student-athletes in WIAC history to win three titles joining UWL's Kelly Schoberg (1994, 1995, 1997). Bruss Murray was also on the Eagles' first-place 4x400-meter relay in 1993.
Bruss Murray captured four WIAC outdoor titles in the 400-meter hurdles (1990, 1991, 1992, 1993). She is one of two student-athletes in conference history to win four crowns in the 400-meter hurdles, joining UWL's Marissa Mahr (2012, 2013, 2014, 2015).
She earned a bachelor's degree in recreation management in 1993.
