Athlete: 1967-1970
Katie Foley kept active in basketball, field hockey, track and volleyball during her four years at UW-L. In her junior and senior years, she was selected to the national field hockey team for tournament play. She was also a member of Delta Psi Kappa.
After graduating, Foley taught and coached golf, volleyball and track in various schools. She became an owner and partner in Wish River Company, a small mail order business in Boulder Junction, Wis., in 1980 and continues to operate the company. Foley participates in numerous sports in her free time, including biathalon, bowling, cross country and downhill skiing, field hockey, mountain biking, rock climbing, running and softball.
