Field hockey, fencing and golf kept Kit Boesch busy during college. Boesch was a member of the Wisconsin Under-19 Fencing Team and attended national fencing championships. She was selected to the Midwest II Field Hockey Team. With those accomplishments and more, she received the Women's Intercollegiate Athletics Award.
Also during college, Boesch was selected to two honor groups and Who's Who in American Colleges and Universities. She boasts membership in the "Floating Rocks," an elite group of phy ed majors who didn't know how to swim when entering college, but graduated with state swimming instructor certificates. Boesch taught and coached at West Bend West High School and Ohio State University before entering administrative work.
Since 1985, she has been the Human Services Administrator and Justice Council Coordinator for the City of Lincoln and Lancaster County in Nebraska. She has continued her interest in fencing by reviving the Lincoln Fencing Club, serving on various national committees and directing events at Nebraska's Cornhusker Games. She received one of Nebraska's two "Fencers of the Decade 1980-1990" awards given by the Nebraska division of the U.S. Fencing Association.
