    Jim Nirschl took his successful collegiate career in football and baseball to the fields of the Kimberly (Wis.) School District. Nirschl lettered in baseball and football all four years during an impressive collegiate athletic career, playing on conference champion football teams in '48 and '49 and baseball teams in '49 and '50.

    He was named to the all-state conference football teams in '47, the season he was the league's leading passer and school's leading scorer and ground gainer. An honor student majoring in physical education, Nirschl also played basketball his freshman year.

    At Kimberly from 1950 until retiring in 1985, Nirschl coached baseball for all 35 years, claiming three titles and football 10 years. He was a charter member to the Wisconsin High School Coaches Baseball Hall of Fame.
