Jason Janke was named to the 1992 Football Gazette and Champion U.S.A. Honorable Mention All-America Teams. Voted the 1992 WIAC Player of the Year, Janke finished the season with 52 receptions for 800 yards and seven touchdown catches. He was named to the 1992 All-WIAC First Team.
He finished with 86 career receptions for 1,327 yards and 11 touchdowns. Janke had a career-high 12 catches versus Central College (Iowa) on November 29, 1992 in the second round of the NCAA Division III Championships.
Janke was a member of two (1991, 1992) NCAA Division III playoff teams, including the national champion 1992 squad. The Eagles finished 12-0-1 overall and 6-0-1 in the WIAC, winning the NCAA Division III title with a 16-12 victory over Washington & Jefferson College (Pa.). Janke was also a member of UWL's National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) Division II playoff team. He was on two (1991, 1992) conference championship teams.
Janke earned his bachelor's degree from UWL in 1993 in broadfield social studies-education. He earned his master's in professional development from UWL in 2001 and his principal licensure from Viterbo University (Wis.) in 2009.
