James Batchelor ran his way to success on the cross country and track teams from 1984-1988. Batchelor lettered in both sports every year, helping both teams earn conferene championships those years. The 1988 history and English major completed a minor in the general honors program. Batchelor was named Athlete of the Year in 1987, earned a conference scholar recognition and received the Jay Norris Memorial Scholarship. Also, he served as a tutor for the history and English departments. Batchelor is a 1984 graduate of Milwaukee Pius Xi High School, where he was on the cross country and track teams. He holds a law defree from the University of Minnesota.
