Donald H. Kollath
Athlete: 1954-58
Don Kollath took his collegiate basketball, football and track experience on to coach those sports at the high school level. He was on the football team from 1954-57 and basketball and track teams from 1954-56. In football, Kollath was the team's co-captain his senior year, and earned all-conference first team honors all four years and honorable mention Little All-American as a senior.
The '58 grad has taught and coached at Sheboygan Area Public Schools. He coached high school football, girls basketball, junior high school football, basketball and track before retiring from coaching in 1988. That year he was named Fox River Valley Football Coach of the Year.
He founded the Sheboygan Youth Football Program in 1986. Kollath, who also earned a master's from UW-L in '66, taught and coached at Fond du Lac, Nekoosa, Janesville, UW-Oshkosh and Emporia (Kans.) State before Sheboygan.
