Athlete: 1977-1981
She was the rebounding leader on the first team that brought a national women's title to campus. Darcia Davies-Torres played on the basketball squad that took the AIA for Women Division III title in 1981. She was also on the team that won the national runner-up title a year earlier.
The school rebounding records Davies-Torres set during those two years remain the second highest on the record books. Those records also propelled her to All-American honors--first team in '81 and second team in '80. She helped the team bring home state titles and rights to compete in regionals in '78 and '79.
