Diving was Dan Laak's passion while in college- and it still is. Laak earned letters and All-American honors from 1978-82 under coach Barry Schockmel. As a sophomore, Laak dived to three records -6-dive 1-meter, 6-dive 3-meter, and 11-dive 1-meter. The records held years before being broken. He was captain of the team his junior and senior years.
The 1982 recreation administration major continues his love for diving coach at the University of Georgia, serving as head diving coach for men and women. He has coached numerous All-Americans and conference champions and diving national championship team.
