A member of the 1992 and 1995 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III football championship teams, Craig Kusick earned the 1995 Melberger Award given to the NCAA Division III Player of the Year. He completed 155-of-252 passes (61.5%) for 2,275 yards with 21 touchdowns and passing efficiency of 158.49 in 1995. His 21 touchdown passes ranks third in single-season school history while his 158.49 passing efficiency ranks second.
Named to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Time Football Team, Kusick was selected to the 1995 American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) All-America First Team and to the Hewlett Packard All-America Third Team. He was named to the 1994 Football Gazette All-America Honorable Mention Team after throwing for a school record 25 touchdowns and recording a 157.63 passing efficiency rating (third in single-season school history).
Kusick is first in UWL history in touchdown passes (48) and passing efficiency (159.74) while ranking fifth in passing yards (4,767), seventh in completions (327) and ninth in attempts (537). His passing efficiency of 159.74 also ranks first in WIAC history. Kusick earned 1994 and 1995 All-WIAC First Team honors.
