Craig Krusick earned three letters each in football and baseball and also one in track at UW-La Crosse. He earned All-Conference honors in baseball in 1968 and 1969 and was named to the Little All-American baseball team in 1969. He Played professional baseball for 12 years; 10 years with the Minnesota Twins and one year each with the San Diego Padres and Toronto Blue Jays.
He was the Twins' Minor League Player of the Year in 1973 and the Twins' Major League Rookie of the Year in 1974. Kusick was a career .236 hitter for the Twins, belting 12 home runs in 1977.
He retired from baseball in 1981 and taught health and physical education at Rosemount High School in Rosemount, Minn. Kusick was Rosemount's head baseball coach from 1982 to 2004.
