Caitlin Schetter was a four-year letter winner for the track & field squad, earning 13 career National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III All-America honors. She won two indoor national titles in the long jump (2008, 2009) and one outdoor crown (2009). Schetter was also eighth indoors in 2007. She placed second (2009) and fifth (2007) in the triple jump at the NCAA III Indoor Championships while also finishing seventh in the 55-meter dash (2009).
At the NCAA III Outdoor Championships, Schetter was second (2008) and fifth (2007) in the long jump to earn All-America accolades while placing sixth (2009) and eighth (2008) in the triple jump. She also garnered two outdoor All-America honors in the 4x100-meter relay as UWL placed fifth (2009) and sixth (2008).
Schetter was selected the 2008 and 2009 U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCAA) Indoor Field Athlete of the Year while being named the 2009 USTFCCCA Indoor and Outdoor Field Scholar Athlete of the Year. She earned 2008 and 2009 CoSIDA Academic All-America Second Team honors while being named the 2009 WIAC Indoor Scholar-Athlete.
Selected to the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) All-Time Team, Schetter won seven league titles in her career, including five individually. She captured one indoor (2009) and two outdoor (2008, 2009) long jump crowns as well as two indoor (2008, 2009) triple jump titles. Schetter was a member of two winning 4x100-meter relays (2008, 2009) at the WIAC Outdoor Championships. Named the 2008 and 2009 WIAC Indoor Field Athlete of the Meet, Schetter was a three-time WIAC Indoor Athlete of the Week selection and two-time WIAC Outdoor Athlete of the Week choice.
She was a member of six WIAC Championship squads, including three indoor (2007, 2008, 2009) and three outdoor (2007, 2008, 2009). UWL recorded four top-seven finishes at the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships, placing second in in 2009, fourth in 2007 and 2008 and seventh in 2006. Schetter was a pair of teams to place in the top-eight at the outdoor national championships, finishing third in 2009 and eighth in 2006.
Schetter earned her bachelor's degree in communication studies (sociology minor) from UWL in 2009.
