Athlete: 1953-1957


    One of the most oustanding track stars ever at UW-La Crosse, Provine engulfed all competitiors in the mid-1950's. He set conference marks in high hurdles, low hurdles and broad jump to lead La Crosse to the 1956 Wisconsin State Conference track title. Provine also excelled in football. He taught--primarily special students--in the Milwaukee area since graduation from UW-La Crosse in 1957.
