Athlete: 1932-35
William "eggs" Schwoegler was a standout basketball and football player at La Crosse, graduating in 1935. He won three letters in both sports and was elected to the All-conference basketball team three years, as well as being the squad's leading scorer those three years. He also captained the basketball team his junior season.
"Eggs" captained the football team in his senior year and was selected All-Conference as a fullback two years, capturing the league scoring leadership in 1933.
After College, Schwoegler taught school at South milwaukee and coached high school for ten years in the Milwaukee Suburban conference. He was the coach for the 1951 South All-Star high school football team officiated high school football and basketball for 25 years.
