Angela Muenkel was named to the 1999 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America First Team while also being named the 1999 WIAC Player of the Year. She was a three-time All-WIAC selection (1997, 1998, 1999) and four-time conference player of the week. Muenkel was named to the 1997 and 1999 AVCA All-Midwest Region Team and was named the AVCA National Player of the Week during the 1999 season.
UWL competed in the NCAA Division III Championships twice (1997, 1998) in Muenkel's career.
She ranks first in school history in kills (1,684) while recording six of the top-11 single-match kills marks. Muenkel's 645 kills in 1998 are second in single-season school history. She finished third in UWL history in career attempts (4,112) and fourth in hitting percentage (.299).
Muenkel set a single-season school record for attempts (1,619) in 1998 and also ranks third in single season attempts (1,421) in 1999. She ranks eighth in WIAC history in kills (1,684) and set a league record in attempts (1,619) in 1998.
Muenkel earned her bachelor's degree (2000) in fitness.
